Ok Having Been a Singer, in a Band, and Solo, I do see both sides of the Coin... ....However, here is a story from a wedding I did earlier this year. Hang On a minute here!!! I use a laptop and CD's, never worn a stetson, or chaps! I embrace new technology, and use it to my advantage. Most of the music I have on my laptop/harddrive, has been copied from my collection, and I have the relevant licence to use it. However, I may or may not use a cracked version of the DJ software, that my computer shop may or may not have donated to me.....Does that REALLY make me a cowboy? I pay tax, I pay national insurance, I have PAT PLI etc....so what if I do or do not have a dodgy copy of some software.....is it enough to chain me to the stocks,

I Use a dedicated laptop, with 250gb hard drive, with over 52,000 karaoke tracks on. I use a HK audio rig, bass bins + tops, a 1300w Dimension 3 amp, and a studio master mixer. The sound is awsome, I use the cheap carlsboro radio mike for most of the punters, as they do sound ok, and they are pretty sturdy..(the mikes, not the punters!)...If I get someone who can sing, and they are not out of their tree, then I lend them my 58 radio mike... OK GUYS LET ME THROW THIS ONE IN THEN?? My laptop makes a hum also, but guess what ? there is NO EARTH!!! The power lead to the transformer, is a 2 pin (Figure of 8) Lead...therefore no earth! So before purchasing Earth loop isolators, check the transformer type 1st! Hi Can anyone tell me i they have had a better response to getting 'em up' at a wedding disco, then DIANA ROSS CHAIN REACTION I hate the song, but every time I get a wedding/40th/50th party This gets them going?
