  2. The party is underway and some people are dancing and you are putting on classics that you think would fill the floor out more, but it isn't. The last couple of parties, the person who's party it has been has got on the mic and told the others to "get off your arses you boring gits and dance" (or something like that) and it had an effect. After i wish i'd have said something like that but i thought that would have looked rude and maybe offensive to some people. How abrupt or cheeky are you over the mic to get people up?

  11. Friday night was a 40th birthday (in fancy dress), great crowd, had done his wife's 40th a couple of months ago and got asked back to do his. One of those nights i could have carried on after the time as i was having a ball. Saturday was my first encounter with dealing with a big venue, wedding co-ordinator. It was in the Martell Suite at Aintree Racecourse, from where you got great views of the course. When i went to setup in the afternoon i wasn't looking forward on all the trips i would have to make to get my gear up, but to my great relief they had a big trolley which cut my number of tr

  14. Got a first communion on sunday. Did her sister's last year and been asked back. They were a good crew last year and had a good time so hopefully this will be the same again...
