  1. And I know about the confusion over my name, although it should be quite obvious that I've got a space in mine http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/huh.gif , but I am in the process of modifying it. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/amen.gif
  2. I've just found this forum and it looks great. Hopefully I can offer help and assistance and also learn a few tricks. I started DJing professionally when I was 17 and did it full time for about 15 years, then got bored and gave it up. I was persuaded to make a 'come-back' for my niece's birthday party, then my daughter's party, then her friend's party, then her friend's friend's party, etc, etc and I'm now back doing it once or twice a month. I'm totally digital now, with everything being run from my laptop, although I had a desktop for about 9 months before investing in a laptop. Tha

If you don't a echo on your mixer, then you might want to borrow/hire/buy something like this. http://www.sbpcc.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/FEX800.jpg £38 from a Behringer stockist, although you'll probably find it cheaper if you shop around.
  6. I've just this group so I know my post is a little late but, according to Tesco, every little helps. It really depends on what you're doing. If you're dooing beat mixing, otsdj or pcdj with a usb soundcard will allow you an output to your mixer and also an output for cueing. If you are just doing functions with one song after the other, i currently use winamp, and have done for the last year. I also use two plug-ins. Sqrsoft, which works out when a song is due to finish and starts the next one automatically, (it's programmable so you can set the trigger levels for starting and stopping son
