  1. I put in other. I work in the local radio station full time and Dj weekends. So not exactly sure would you say I make my living from Dj-ing?? Paul
  2. Hey guys I know this is in the wrong Forum but how do i post a picture. It asks for a URL when i want to add one. Does that mean I've to post the pic on another website before i can attach it to a message. Thanks Paul
  3. Hey Mark, I've heard similar to what you've said MArk but it always varies from 2 watts per person to 4 watts so it's a guesstimate really. My own opinion is it depends on the venue and how big it is. 500watts may be sufficient for a handy sized function room but if you add a bin it'll make all the difference if the venue is anyway big. Paul

  5. Try looking up Samson. Got one last year for 130euro so in pounds alot cheaper. Well impressed with it. Never ever had a problem with it which amazes me. Only down side you have to open it to turn it on and off!!
  6. for Danger Mouse. I only have one amp in my one. On the top i have a light controller, mixer and cd player controls On the front i have a radio mic receiver, cd drawers and amp. I will admit it is quite heavy but it saves so much time when going into venues, no looking for tables and it's all connected just to plug in the speakers. It is alot deeper than i thought, you can fill the other side of it with equipment too so fairly deep. I manage lifting it because of the depth, lift one side then the other.
  7. I've got this http://www.thomann.de/ie/skb_skb_gigrig_14...p6_he_front.htm and at the front I've made a holder for a banner which screws onto the front of the rig and has my name, phone number and website. I'll get a photo the next time I've got it out. Looks very neat and takes up little room. All the leads bundle in under it too.
  8. WHy did you choose no1partydj when no1partydjs.com existed... Some guy did that to me and i was well p:cense:sed off until some of his clients came to my site but I'm sure the reverse is also sure mine are going to his site..?? Your site does look really good though Paul
  9. Hey guys, With the current economic climate clients are shopping around more and more. Whether we like it or not they are looking for the best value. Not saying the cheapest but best value for money. I've been in this game for a good many years now and I suppose the majority of the calls i got would book me there and then on the spot but now I'm finding people are shopping around and checking out other djs more. I'm just looking for advice on how to market myself more over the phone. I have a website that has most information that people require and the calls are mainly from c
  10. HI Guys, Thanks for the replies and pm's. But I've got is sorted. I was looking to add a database to my website of all my songs so that clients can login and choose their own playlists or just to browse my library. Found a guy that did all the work even uploading it to my website for 150 US dollars even though he was UK based. More than happy with the work. If anyone if thinking of doing the same pm me and i can give you login details to have a look and the Contact details of the guy who did it for me. Now when clients login I get a text telling me who has logged in and to check the
  11. Hi John, Nice tidy set up as usual!! Recognise most of those venues. Do you always set up before the meal? Are Hotels ok with that? I've never asked just usually set up same time as the band and wander home for a couple of hours. The full night wedding I was talking to you about a few months back was a huge success thank god. Got 2 more out of it for next year which is great. Appreciate the advice you gave me. Another one just posted here looking for a bulb for the brokenswing. Do you get yours online (I just found Thomann do them cheap) or do you know of a shop locally. Only 1
  12. Hey it looks like that mintydave alright. The light is a sepctronic brokenswing light. here it is http://www.total-music.com/product/3758 Just looking that says it uses 24v!!! Here i'll go look again!! ok yeah silly me and I looking all over the place for 12v!!! it's 24v alright. Anyone know where I can get one of these then!!! it's the same as the pic mintydave has but 24v 250watt Cheers
  13. Hi Guys, Looking for the above bulb. It's a capsule type bulb 12v 250watt. Well this is what's written on the light itself as what to use. I bought it second hand so not exactly sure what bulb was in there. Is there another bulb I could use because I can't find these anywhere or could someone give me the name of a website with these Thanks Paul
  14. not sure where to post this but anyone know a web designer looking for a bit of extra work. Thanks
  15. Smashing spot alright sweetie.. What ohm system did you get. I've a couple I used to use after the lucas system. Lovely clear sound from them. 2 x 300watt tops no bins. I still reckon the HK is nicer. Pity we can't compare like with like unless you buy here in Ireland. If you're happy with em that's all that counts.
