djweeble 0
????? Why is it stupid? If the club prices are anything like they are in Copenhagen, then you might well be the hands down winner!!!! Copenhagen is dirt cheap compared to Norway ! How does 50Kr (just over 4 quid) for a half litre of coke sound ?? Off topic slightly, but, a pint of Guinness is over 6 quid here in Oslo, and the cheapest local fizzbeer is about 4 quid for half a litre, and them prices are all in normal bars, not clubs. Leading the way in leaving the UK Last man out turn off the lights !
D.X 0
Cant remember. The most I've ever been charged for a drink was £7.50 for a double vodka/red bull but I told the barman he could keep it and I'll have a pint of lager please. Even that was £3.20.

analyst 0
I am confused (doesn't take much). I've just read this thread and everyone is complaining about how much they've had to pay for a soft drink and how they think its a rip-off. Then in another thread (take your choice from many) we are repeatedly being told we should all be charging higher rates for our services and make the punter get used to it. Wish you guys would make up your minds. :chad:
C.S 0
Soft drink compared to an evenings entertainment with a dj with full equipment and loads of preperation etc well i guess in some cases its about the same thing but then again hmm nah dont get your reasoning, sorry. tongue out icon I will try anything, once! When people offer to buy me a drink, then it's usually the same. I do really think that the crazy prices for soft drinks is unbeneficial to Dont drink/drive warnings as the soft drinks are often more expensive than the alcoholic drinks
Dukesy 0
Out of etiquette, I've never taken a bottle into any venue to drink for fear of upsetting the venue management but I might consider taking water.

What I was referring to was the principle of hiking prices up, which is comparable. Many threads in this forum claim, in effect, that we should all be pushing our prices up and decry people who offer services at competitive pricing. Yet, when others do the same thing (e.g. bar prices) we are all complaining. I think the non-DJ community generally see it as one and the same thing, whether it be discos, bar prices, car servicing, sweets sold in cinema foyers . . .
gadget 0
In theory Lime Juice + Soda should be fairly cheap to drink (and quite refreshing too). But in my experience prices vary one hell of a lot! One pub I went to in leeds ( I was driving back from North Yorkshire at the time), was 30p for a pint of lime + soda. Some pubs will charge you for the soda water (which all it is is just fizzy tap water dammit!) I've taken small water bottles before now - there's always some in the car at all times (and at this time of year its loverly and cold!)
