Stephen_N.I. 0
Had a website on the phone to me. Don't know whether I'm allowed to post the name but it's an anagram of nidfuus.com. Promising me the earth, but I kept saying no. Was it a good move? £299 + vat just to register, then £2/day. He said he could guarantee calls, that's fine, but it's just enquiries, maybe not get all of them. How many of you get these calls, you have to be cautious where you advertise otherwise you'd be out of pocket very quickly. Stephen_N.I. 0
Apart from the womens clothes bit, thanx for the advice! :joe: lol I just blocked their second call, got really pushsy on the first, if your easily led, they'd get you, but as I said to them , if I said yes to everyone that called offering listing etc, I'd be bankrupt in a month. I'm sure you all know where I'm coming from. N2K Entertainments http://www.n2kentertainments.co.uk stephen@n2kentertainments.co.uk
otronics 0
I have had a few...after a couple I got annoyed and when a 3rd one came through (4th?) a couple of weeks ago, I gave short answers to his questions, and after 3 minutes of junk I said "So, what are you trying to sell me then?" He then changed his tone: "No, I am just interested in your company". Yeah right! I then said I am not interested and the call ended a few seconds after that. "I am fine as I am and don't want to spend £200+ for a web listing thank you". Beats spending 30mins on the phone. Corabar Steve 0
I wouldn't touch them with somebody else's barge pole. Last time I spoke to them, after I had finished laughing my reply was an anagram of foffkcu! Steve... Mattaious 0
I tend to find when i receive any unwanted sales calls, Place them on hold or leave it on the side, saying your going to get the person they need to speak to works well for me. other idea is have a lenghty chat with them about random stuff, It costs them money! robbiedj 0
other idea is have a lenghty chat with them about random stuff, It costs them money! It's quite funny trying this if it's a call centre. They often don't know or understand what your talking about. Leave them confused. tongue out icon You want me to play what? Good idea - don't you just bloody hate people ringing you up and trying to flog you stuff over the phone? Nine times out of ten they are from a foreign call centre and you can't understand a ruddy word they are saying as half of them can't speak enough English - they also don't like to take no for an answer....I usually end up telling them politely where to go if they get pushy. jamminroadshow 0
I can do accents quiet well so i just keep passing them round then after about five mins say sorry its not me that you need to speak to but someone else after two or three people they give up and put the phone down. Speaking about pushy foreign call centres my wife hates lloyds as they seem to push things on her that she does not want and its normally india that do it My wife says the woman seem to be the worse for being pushy

If I want a new product or service, I will find out the details myself and shop around. Offers via post or email though (just to state) are different as: 1) (usually) I have opted for them 2) I can view them at leisure Oliver Head, OTronics Media Services Ltd, Covering Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset and surrounding areas. analyst 0
A good ploy is to hum down the phone to them Drives the call centre kids ballistic because they have no response to that. smile icon
