So providing the rooms empty what music do you prefer to play to check everythings set-up properly. Dukesy 0 Posted June 22, 2008 Report Share Posted June 22, 2008 Used to use the Fugees version of 'Killing me Softly' when using the 15" or 18" but it sounds different (to me) when played on the Bose. I now tend to use anything with a good modern quality recording, such as the Scissors 'I don't feel like dancing'. Link to post Share on other sites

I also use a country track, George Strait - The Chair, This has a loverly warm sound with a nice tight bass and just sounds good... I hate dance tunes or anything with to much going on in them... I find a lot of modern recordings are of a low quality even at CD level... You need to use a track you are familiar with as a reference point and one where you can stand out front and identify all the components of the track, then use the EQ to ballance it correctly... Quite impressive for the age. I tend to use Alex Party - Don't Give Me Your Life, simply because it's at the front of one of the 90s cases. Plus, it's not recorded too badly, and I like it. Chicane - Offshore has an amazing bassline in it for testing the bottom end too.. Shame the speakers I've got aren't that great unfortunately. I need to get some better ones methinks...
