Tonsk 0
This weekend I am actually NOT wedding it up... Tonight, I have a 40th Birthday party at my residency, for the person that originally gave me the gigs there. Saturday - Had a wedding which got cancelled (the groom decided to end it 20 days ago by telling her he didnt love her, packed, went to his car and drove to the ferry and went to Norway (bless).) So then got booked for a kids party till 9.30pm who called this morning to cancel as the bday girl apparently is ill... So will get paid the cancellation fee and will sit at home enjoying the company of my wife  with pizza, beer and a DVD.... (Unless anything better comes up!) Sunday - Staff party for the local B&Q. The Right Music - based in Norwich and covering all Norfolk and Suffolk

Andy Westcott 0
Nothing for me - the weekend off. Been busy lately though, so a welcome break for me and the boy. Probably helping a mate clear out the remains of his workshop after an arsonist set light to it. Did any of you locals read about it? He lost 6 bikes he was restoring and a trike, and isn't all that pleased about it. If the police can prove who is responsible... Paul Smith 0
Thursday wedding in a recently restored 18th century flour mill. TonyB 0
Hmmmm, strange day today. Done an early set up in a marquee. Dance floor was in the middle but we had to set up across a corner at the back. Well to do family and they didn't want us to use the same entrance as the guests and family, we had to crawl through an opening at the back when we went back this evening. Marquee was in their garden which is the size of a football pitch and the marquee was pretty large. Was able to drive right up and unload when we set up. It was for a 21st birthday but 90% were 40+ hence we were asked to play 60's, 70's & 80's but the small younger element wanted "more modern stuff" so was quite a mix of music. After going to great lengths to get Karaoke sorted as requested, only one song sung. The older element were very happy with the music. One person came up to me at the end and said that he hadn't enjoyed the music made by one of these infernal noise machines for years and asked for a card. But not so sure the younger element were overly impressed and as it was a 21st birthday, perhaps the music should of been more up to date. At the end of the day, who is it more important to please, the majority and follow the instructions given by the person paying or the birthday boy whose celebration it was? Mixed feelings at the end. Everyone seemed to have a good time but there was something missing.
4zzz 0
Fri Current residence in Pub. Tonsk 0
For the 40th bday that I did on Friday, I stumbled across this website who do taylor made front page news. I printed a couple of them off and took them with me to the gig and they seemed to go down a treat... You don't even need to buy them..... The actual gig was a little poo because only 40 people turned up in a venue which will hold 250-300... Although the bday girl emailed me saying she had had a great night so... Then last night's B&Q bbq got very rainy, so moved the venue to inside the pub instead of the marquee - Slow getting started, and not much dancing, but a fun crowd who wanted to drink/chat and occassionally boogie who all seemed to have a good night - although I'll find out next time I goto B&Q on whether I get served or not tongue out icon The Right Music - based in Norwich and covering all Norfolk and Suffolk
