If you change the mirrors to say a barrell then the image or gobo isnt as sharp aand bright as if it was just a mirror, Ive got 2 led tangos and I think theyre great effects as they are already without changing them. Cracking under smoke.

Right guys last Saturday went to a summer fair in the afternoon, there was this dj there and he was setting up (mackie srm 450s) nice :-) but anyway before he kicked off the music he played this jingle that went something like: 'Sound test, left speaker, right speaker, bass test now lets get ready to party in 3,2,1' and then he went off into his main set. But as it said left speaker it only came out of left etc. I thought it was quite funky, when I asked him about it he said 'he'd had it for ages duno where I got it' Anyone know what it is, where to get it?

Depends what type of function it is, ive found with younger folk maybe play the chart songs that wont work in the main set such as love song by sara bareilles or daylight by kelly rowland. Or stuff that is quite new and nobody really knows it yet, ive found closer works well by Ne*Yo. Where as that sort of music wont work for a 40th, so you may want to play some sort of music like stealers wheel, meatloaf, ELO. But maybe a 20th you may go stuff from the 90s like Fairground Attraction, beautiful south, alanis morrisette, sheryl crow, natalie imbruligia. It all depends on the crow

I think thats the difference between residencys and mobile work, when I do my residency occasionally we get this guy in at the end (finish at 1am) and I say 'Right ladies and gents we have 3 more from me tonight' blah blah so he knows that im finishing, and he says after the lights come on 'COME ON DJ PLAY SOME MORE' now the first couple of weeks we just ignored him and packed down because he was out of his head, but the landlord came up to him yesterday and said 'Look at the opening times outside its 1am now, can you not tell the time? The lads pack down at this time so kindly shut yer trap'

Yeah the original artist I believe wass James Brown in the mid 60s? then the band called pigbag released it in the late 70s then like I say 90s and then watch out. I believe there was a parody about it like Papas got a brand new Baghdad or something.

Well it was released in the 90s by Perfecto Allstars I think, I normally play that version and yeah it does work well better than the original and the 70s version. but like Dukesy says its been released recently Alex Gaudino has put it into his track 'Watch Out'

This week ive had mumps and im very infectious at the moment. But what I did was my roadie I have been training up, owen. I gave him the gigs to do but I sat in the car outside, this weekend ive sat in a car for 14 hours. But I was outside incase anything happend, I could see inside and what was happening so I would write down a list of songs for him to play (hes still learning how to read the crowd) but I passed him the piece of paper with songs on it and he played them and talked down the mic. And everyone was happy.
