UKHero 0
Hi guys I hope you all had a good one last night. But be carefull I had to miss my new year gig due to being rushed into hospital monday night with a numb groin area. I have had a bad back for the last 6 weeks but worked through it. I had an operation tuesday night to try to save my lower half from not functioning ever agaain. It loooks like I was treated in time thank god. The reason I am posting this is to say guys if you damage your back go get it checked. I would like to add if it was not for my wife making me go to the docs I might be semi paralized below. All the best for 2009 Nik Niks Roadshow

All the best for 2009 Nik I'm in the same boat but have been getting treatment weekly for the last 4wks to avoid it getting to the point you reached. Even so I've been told any slight weakness, numbness or tingling in my legs means getting help fast. I can't even lie on my front or back in bed because as soon as my muscles relax there's pressure on my spinal cord. Anyway I hope you make a full recovery soon and I believe they recommend a drink or to to help recovery as well so make the most of it. bluejools 0
Sorry to hear that mate - but not the end ..... Been there - done that - had the OP - still dj'ing (without a roadie) Mine was lifting computer screens....... Have a Swift recovery - keep laying flat and moving at the same time. I found a games console next to the bed ideal company :-> took me about 12 weeks to be up and about properly - about 18 to lift anything again. Try to do everything the physio asks........ and a bose L1 is an ideal speaker system if you have a bad back :-> Edited January 2, 2009 by bluejools
